Thom Smyth is a creative producer with a passion for experimental performance and queer arts. Through his creative practice Unfunded Empathy, he supports Sydney's most exciting LGBTQIA+ artists and eventmakers, including much-loved events Late Night and All Day Queer Dance, Bad Dog and Happenings, and Sublet. He fosters bold ideas that bring communities together. Beyond QPPT, Thom produces with national company Performing Lines, supporting groundbreaking artists like Amrita Hepi, Betty Grumble and Paul Mac. His work spans major institutions to underground parties, always centered on deeply entertaining and unashamedly political celebrations of possibility. With extensive experience in producing, curation and marketing across Australia and Asia, Thom brings both practical know-how and a commitment to community-building to all the projects he’s a part of.
